Adaptable Architecture: A [Container] Roof over my Head

Nastazia Spyropoulou is an architect (University of Westminster) and one of the founding members of Cocoon Modules, a Greek startup, which uses good condition shipping containers and transforms them into living spaces promoting urban nomadism and, thus, rethinking modern dwelling. A container can be manipulated appropriately and become the main structural element-frame of buildings serving different purposes such as holiday homes, industrial spaces, stores and emergency housing. This type of architecture focuses on modular design and therefore enables the addition of new modules in every direction, while offering faster and cheaper solutions compared to traditional methods. Nastazia Spyropoulou, through Cocoon Modules, believes that this new era in architecture reflects the current needs of humanity and will be challenged to do the same for future generations.
